Movember

November is one of my favorite months. Not only it is my birthday month, but it's the only month when it's socially acceptable to look like you've been stranded on a deserted island like Tom Hanks in Castaway. Yes you guessed it, no shave November! Personally I'm still waiting for the day I can grow a real hillbilly beard instead of looking like a teenager that hasn't discovered a razor yet. So all of you manly men who's face grows like a chia pet, I envy you.


You might say, "this is a gaming blog, what do beards have to do with gaming?" Well the answer is nothing to my knowledge. But here at the lounge we're all about expressing your personal style. I encourage everyone to show off their facial hair this month. Guys I look forward to seeing how creative you can get, you could even look like your favorite character from Final Fantasy! And I don't want to leave anyone out, women if you can grow a beard frankly I'd be more interested in seeing that.                       link to picture

For all of you loyal gamers we'll have a special guest in the lounge sometime this month. Due to his changing schedule the date will be coming soon, but my close personal friend from a major game developing company is stopping by to check out the lounge and meet our aspiring game creators! If you've ever dreamed about taking your passion for gaming and turning it into a career, he's the one to talk to. Meet one of the talented people that worked on classics like the Call of Duty series, Halo, as well as some pc games such as Gears of War. And yes, he does have a beard... Watch our Facebook and Twitter pages for the date and time, I'll send that out as soon as I get confirmation on it. Big things are happening here at AM Games, we want you around to experience them.

November contest

In honor of football and hockey seasons being here and basketball season just starting, we will be hosting tournaments for sports games all November. There are sign up sheets in the lounge for each game tournament and the times will be posted on there. The games involved will be Madden '16, Fifa '16, Nhl '16, and NBA 2k15. As you may have guessed we will give out prizes for each tournament! These prizes are simple, the winner of each game will get a copy of the game for themselves. So practice up, the weather is getting cold but the action is warming up here at AM Games.

Halloween weekend

As you know Halloween is fast approaching and personally, it's one of my favorite holidays. This Friday and Saturday, wear your costumes to the lounge and receive an hour of free gaming time. Also there will be a costume contest on Halloween! So dress as your favorite gaming character, the best ones I've seen from previous years are Mario, Zelda, even a character from final fantasy. The more people that decide to dress up the more fun it will be so let's see what you've got! The winner of the costume contest will be crowned gamer of the week and will have their picture posted in the lounge for everyone to see as well as received 3 hours of free play time to use whenever they want throughout the next week. We hope to see the lounge packed more than ever this weekend with everyone in costume using their one hour of free play. The good times are waiting for you and your friends and as always, we will have the card and board game tournaments as well as sign up sheets for online gaming tournaments. Everyone have a fun and safe Halloween and we hope to see you there!

Breast Cancer Giveaway

As you know October is breast cancer awareness month. If you have a loved one affected by this disease you like many others feel the pain it causes. Our contribution to the cause is this: each time we reach a membership goal AM Games will donate a brand new gaming system to the family of a local woman battling breast cancer. It's a small gift but our hopes are that it will brighten up everyone's day. Our membership goal this week is 10 new enrollments, we feel this is extremely achievable but we need your help. Please help support a great cause and together we can offer some comfort to the families of these brave women. We hope to see many new faces around the lounge and I hope you all have a great day.
